No. Admission to undergraduate programmes at universities in Sarajevo is based on your high school diploma grade and supporting documents; a national entrance exam score is not required. Programmes with limited capacity, such as medicine, may apply the university’s own pre-assessment criteria.

Most universities in Sarajevo run a one-year English preparatory programme. Students who do not reach the required score on the placement test are enrolled in the preparatory year and begin their degree the following year.

Will my degree be recognised at home?

The universities featured on this site appear on the recognised-institution lists of the relevant authorities. The recognition procedure itself is completed after graduation, by the student, under the regulations in force at that time. I guide you throughout on which documents you will need.

The core set is your high school diploma and transcript (with notarised translation), a copy of your passport, biometric photographs and an English proficiency certificate if you have one. Some programmes require extra documents; we prepare a personalised checklist after your intro call.

How do visas and residence permits work?

Many nationalities can enter Bosnia and Herzegovina without a visa. Students staying longer than 90 days apply for a temporary residence permit after arrival, using their offer letter. Our Welcome to Bosnia package covers this entire process.

What accommodation options are there?

University dormitories, private student residences and shared apartments are the three common options. In Sarajevo a room in a shared apartment typically costs €200–300 per month. Placement support is included in the Welcome to Bosnia package.

Including accommodation, transport, groceries and personal spending, a typical monthly budget is €400–550. Public transport is inexpensive with a student card and campus cafeterias are subsidised.

A student residence permit allows a limited number of working hours, but the rules change periodically, so we review the current regulations together after your arrival. On-campus assistantships and internships are the more common route.

How do I pay the consultancy fee?

Payment is made upfront, before the service begins. You can pay by bank transfer or in cryptocurrency; card payments are not accepted. All package prices are published on this site and no additional fees are requested mid-process.

What happens if I do not get an offer?

The guidance fee is not refunded, because the work has already been done. But the process does not stop there: if your application is unsuccessful I draw up a new plan for alternative universities and programmes at no extra cost, and keep guiding you until the next enrolment period. So far no student has been left without a route forward.
